Truvyo App Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Truvyo collects, uses, protects, and retains information in the Truvyo Android app and related Firebase-backed services.

Scope

This App Privacy Policy applies to the Truvyo Android app (com.truvy.app) and the Truvyo services that support authentication, profiles, reviews, reels, messaging, search, notifications, moderation, verification, analytics, crash reporting, and account deletion.

Truvyo is the app and service provider. This page is separate from the website-only Privacy Policy, which covers the public website and waitlist.

Information users provide

Depending on the features you use, Truvyo may collect:

  • Name, username, phone number, email address, and user ID.
  • Date of birth, gender, biography, profession, skills, profile links, and other profile details.
  • Reviews, comments, replies, reactions, reports, disputes, and support requests.
  • Private chat messages and related messaging metadata needed to deliver and manage conversations.
  • Uploaded photos, videos, reels, profile images, cover images, files, and documents.
  • KYC and verification information, including identity, selfie, proof, or supporting verification materials when you submit them.

Truvyo does not collect device contacts, calendar events, installed app lists, web browsing history, standalone audio files, or purchase history in the current production Android build.

Automatically collected information

Truvyo may collect the following automatically or when a feature is used:

  • Approximate and precise location when you grant location permission and use location-based profile features.
  • App interactions and product analytics events.
  • In-app search information, including hashed search-query-derived analytics used for search appearance and product analytics.
  • Crash logs, diagnostics, error reports, and device or other identifiers used by Firebase and Truvyo services.
  • Notification tokens used to send app notifications.
  • Security, abuse-prevention, rate-limit, App Check, and moderation signals needed to protect the service.

How we use information

We use information for:

  • App functionality, including authentication, profiles, reviews, reels, messaging, notifications, search, uploads, and account deletion.
  • Account creation, account management, verification, and user support.
  • Profile, review, anonymous-review, comment, reply, reaction, report, and moderation features.
  • Safety, abuse prevention, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance, and enforcement of Truvyo rules.
  • Analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, reliability, product improvement, and personalization.
  • Customer support and developer communications related to account or privacy requests.

Sharing and disclosure

Public profile details and user-generated content may be visible to other Truvyo users according to your choices, privacy settings, and app functionality. Private messages are delivered to the intended conversation recipients.

Truvyo uses service providers such as Firebase and Google services to host data, authenticate users, deliver notifications, process Cloud Functions, store files, analyze usage, protect the app, and report crashes. These providers process data on Truvyo's behalf.

We may disclose information when necessary for legal compliance, safety, fraud and abuse prevention, security investigations, dispute handling, or enforcement of the Terms, Community Guidelines, or other Truvyo policies.

Truvyo does not sell personal data, and the current production app does not show production evidence of advertising-data sharing.

Anonymous reviews

When you choose to post a review anonymously, public users see Anonymous Reviewer instead of your public account identity. Your name, username, profile photo, and profile link are not shown publicly for that anonymous review.

Anonymous reviews do not make you anonymous to Truvyo. Truvyo retains the real account identity for moderation, abuse prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, and investigations.

Location

Truvyo may use approximate or precise location when you grant Android location permission and use features such as profile setup, nearby discovery, or location-based profile search. Location may be used to improve search, discovery, and profile relevance.

You can control location permission at any time in your device settings. Some location-based features may not work if permission is denied or removed.

KYC and verification

Truvyo may process KYC and verification information to verify identity, improve trust, prevent fraud and abuse, support legal or compliance needs, and protect the community.

KYC data may be processed by Truvyo and/or an external verification provider. This policy does not name a specific provider because the current production source reviewed for this page does not confirm a vendor name.

Retention

We retain information while your account is active and as necessary to operate Truvyo, provide features, maintain security, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce Truvyo policies.

Some records may be retained or anonymized for security, fraud prevention, disputes, legal obligations, enforcement, audit trails, or backup recovery cycles. Shared records may be anonymized rather than deleted when deletion would affect another user's history, safety record, dispute evidence, or required audit trail.

Security

Truvyo uses encryption in transit, access controls, Firebase App Check, authentication, server-side validation, moderation, and other reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data.

No method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

User controls and rights

Depending on your account and feature use, you may be able to:

  • Edit profile details, privacy settings, and discovery settings in the app.
  • Control Android permissions such as location, camera, microphone, photos, videos, files, and notifications through device settings.
  • Delete or manage supported content where the app provides those controls.
  • Request account deletion or contact Truvyo about privacy requests.

Account deletion

You can start account deletion inside the Truvyo app from: Profile → Settings → Account & Privacy → Delete Account.

You can also request account deletion from the public web page: https://truvyo.app/delete-account. Account ownership must be verified before deletion is processed.

Children

Truvyo is intended for users aged 18 years and older. The app is not directed to children.
